Using a basketball instead of drumsticks to create sound and rhythm, FreestylerNARI’s colourful performance combines quick and precise dribbling, colourful props, drums and of course, applause from the audience, to create a mesmerising live performance.

Hailing from Osaka, Japan, FreestylerNARI first developed a passion for basketball in elementary and middle school, partly inspired by his middle school teacher’s mastery over ball control. In high school, he started performing, teaching himself dance and acrobatic moves. Although he originally wanted to be a basketball player, he decided to focus on ball handling technique and thus, his unique performance style was born.

Contrary to his eccentric appearance, FreestylerNARI is a consummate performer and professional, dedicated to perfecting his craft as a performer, musician, and any other endeavour that he sets out on.
